Veritas Volume Manager

These were the proper steps to successfully clone the database.

1. Upgrade the disk groups to version 150 using “vxdg upgrade odsprod” on source host if required
2. Put the database into hot backup mode
3. Run the clone job
4. Make the devices ready
5. Rescan the devices on g3infra
6. Import the diskgroup with the following options “vxdg –Cf –n oddddat3c –o useclonedev=on –o updateid import prod”
7. Start the volumes
8. Run fsck on the file systems
9. Modify the zone configuration to use the new file systems
10. Boot the zone up and verify the volumes are mounted
